Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime has better hardware than the Redmi 9 Prime, which also costs more. However, the cameras on this phone aren’t as good as they should be, considering how much better it does than its predecessor. To begin, you’ll love the colourful screen’s fast refresh rate and a large battery of 6,000mAh, excellent for simple use. Priced at Rs. Though the 12,499 Realme 8s, Redmi 10 Prime, and Redmi 10T 5G have comparable features and prices, the Redmi 10S has better hardware.

1) Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime Introduction

Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime Introduction

The Redmi 10 Prime contains more useful hardware than the Redmi 9, besides the front camera. The Redmi 10 Prime is a few smartphones powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 SoC. Low-light camera performance in the previous models was just average. Low-light shots are dark and a bit fuzzy, but with the help of AI in the Redmi 10, we see a slight performance increase. With Redmi 10, the Kaleidoscope feature lets you create good and interesting content, while its CPU performance is superb. The popular processor Helio G88 is designed for and associated with Hyper engine game technology. On MIUI 12.5, Game Turbo Mode is also included. With 18W Fast Charging and Up to 9W Reverse Charging, this phone can get power-hungry, so here are some suggestions to make it more efficient.

3) Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime Design & Build Quality

Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime Design & Build Quality

Although the device is made of plastic, plenty of bezels cover the screen, and it’s hard to read. Also, the sides of the gadget are rounded a little more for better handling. Near the upper middle of the screen, a tiny punch-hole has been cut out of the screen to make room for the selfie camera. Compared to other models, the camera punch-hole is not so large. Some people might find it irritating due to its size. When you press the power button on the right side of the device, you’ll notice a fingerprint scanner. It’s embedded into the button. On the top of the phone, there is a power button and a volume control button. There is a SIM card slot on the left side of the phone. Besides the IR blaster at the top, we also have headphone and speaker holes and the USB Type-C port on the top of the phone. The main microphone and the loudspeaker are at the bottom.

4) Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime Display

Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime Display

Redmi 10 Prime has an IPS LCD screen that runs at 90Hz and includes a cut-out on the top to see even better what’s on the screen. To help out, the company kept the bezels on the sides of the screen as small as possible. Even though the display is still high definition (1080p), the resolution is not great at this price.

The LCD brightness is high enough for outdoor use in this price range, and the colour is reasonably good. There will still be lags due to the low cost of the phone.

5) Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime Camera Quality

Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime Camera Quality

There are two cameras & two sensors, 1 with 50 megapixels and the other 3 with 8, 2 and 2 megapixels. There is a main camera with 50 megapixels, an ultra-wide-angle camera with 8 megapixels, and a depth sensor with 2 megapixels. The software for the camera on the phone is virtually the same as what we’ve seen on other Xiaomi phones.

A-Pro mode provides total control over the camera’s settings. Switching between HDR and AI is quick and easy, and there is a mode called Pro. The majority of the images we took with our Redmi 10 Prime were taken when it was cloudy. Photos taken during the day came out looking all right. The edges of these images were sharp, and we didn’t like them. The external sides of the structures were also slightly scratchy. In contrast, we found the ultra-wide-angle camera quality to be significantly reduced.

Selfies taken with the 8-megapixel front-facing camera in bright sunlight were fine. They looked good. The video outcome was fine and had a high-contrast black class. Portrait shots captured good edge detection, and they captured sufficient detail in outdoor settings so that the background in portrait photos had a better-looking effect.

6) Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime Battery Life

Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime Battery Life

The Redmi 10 Prime features a 6,000mAh battery, capable of an 18W charge, which can come with a 22.5W charging charger. With the nine-watt reverse charging function, you can also use this device as a power bank and recharge other devices while travelling.

Large battery capacities (6,000mAh) allow it to be used continuously for more than a day and a half, enough to last a busy workday. Additionally, the phone can last for up to 16 hours and 24 minutes during a high-definition video loop test. When it comes to charging the phone, with the charger that comes with it, it takes 30 minutes and 50 minutes to charge it to 24% and 50% of its capacity.

7) Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime Performance

Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime Performance

When looking at GeekBench 5, it achieves an average score of 370 points for single-core performance and 1210 points for multi-core performance. Unlike phones with an Helio G95 processor or the Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 processor, these scores are weak, like the Realme Narzo 30 and the Redmi Note 10.

However, it is still possible to play COD Mobile and BGMI at medium settings. If the device keeps a 90Hz refresh speed, it isn’t easy to encounter that in real gameplay trials.

8) Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime AnTuTu Benchmark Score

Xiaomi Redmi 10 Prime AnTuTu benchmark score is 238,114.

This new release can surpass 75% of all the world’s smartphones made in 2021. You can see how it measures up to the Realme 8i.

Conclusion

The Redmi 10 Prime has the same features as a typical Redmi phone, including a long-lasting battery, decent performance, and a large display. Shooting, however, isn’t a forte of this phone. So, you may ask, What’s the point of pricing so close to the Redmi Note 10, an infinitely better phone for the price? My assessment team is priced at Rs 14,999, which appears on the increased side. I think the Redmi 10 Prime is a decent phone, but if you want a device with better cameras and performance, then the Redmi Note 10S or the Realme 8 might be a better option.
